Reel Time Events respect your privacy and are committed to maintaining the confidentiality of your details. This policy is intended to let you know how we look after your data when you interact with us and tell you about your rights. This policy is intended to supplement any other notices we provide for you from time to time.

This policy applies to each and any company of the Reel Time family. When we refer to Reel Time.  We mean the company with which you have contracted or otherwise communicated and that has processed your data.

The data we collect

Financial or contract data: payment or contracting information.

How is your data collected:

The main way we may collect personal data about you is when you ask us to provide you with a product or service. This may happen when you apply for a service, subscribe to our newsletter or social media feeds.  Request marketing or other communication from us. Provide us with feedback. Or send us an enquiry, message or email from our website.

How we use your personal data

We will only use your personal data to perform the contract you are entering into with us.  Where it is necessary for our legitimate interests, to comply with legal or regulatory requirements.

We will usually only rely on consent as a basis for processing your data in relation to marketing communications. You have the right to withdraw consent at any time.

Data security and retention

We have in place physical and electronic security measures to prevent the accidental loss, destruction or unauthorised use of your personal data. For example, only certain employees, agents or contractors may access your data to enable us to process it for the relevant purpose.

Your data will only be retained for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was required. This includes our legal, accounting and regulatory requirements. We are required to keep basic information for these purposes for a period of six years after you cease being a customer.

Your legal rights

You have the right to request access to your personal data, request correction of the personal data that we hold about you. Subject to appropriate verification being received by us. You have the right to request for your data to be removed. If you consider that there is no lawful reason for us to continue processing your personal data. And finally you also have the right to withdraw consent where we are relying on this as the legal basis to process your personal data.

What is GDPR

As of 25th May 2018 the “General Data Protection Regulation” (GDPR) is a new legislation. It aims to protect consumers’ personal data from being wrongfully used and stored without explicit consent from the individual. This includes, but is not limited to: what is stored, how this is stored, who has access and how this information is then used. The new regulation also gives consumers the option to access their data at any time as well as update or request removal.

How are we complying with this new law?

We will only store information that is relevant and up to date from those who have actively engaged with our business. i.e. Booked an events with us or have expressed an interest in our services. The information includes; name, email address, and organisation as a minimum. We will also store business contact number and address, if these have been provided by you. Additionally, we promise not to share your details with any other organisation. We have given our existing subscription list the option to opt in or out via email and follow up with a further email to those who have not responded before the regulation deadline.
